# Purple onions?

Have purple onions become extinct? All I can find are red onions, I have not seen a true purple in years. They were much sweeter and milder.

They’re around- I can get them at the local Hispanic grocery pretty easily, and they’re often at the normal supermarket as well, but not necessarily every time I go.

I will have to check the Hispanic markets out. I really miss them in my salads.
