# Purple skin anime character

I saw a reddish purple skinned anime character recently and now it’s driving me crazy trying to think of who it was.

It’s definitely anime style, probably scifi like Voltron or Macross. I thought briefly I might be mistaken and thinking of the animated Daft Punk video because the drawing style is very similar but I think they all have blue skin.

The skin was actually probably midway between red/magenta and purple. Something in that range. I think maybe the hair was either light or unusual, but monotone. I’m guessing they are alien but like a lot of anime scifi characters he looked basically human other than the colors. I know it’s a long shot, but any ideas?

I think it was Macross Plus. While no one has purple skin, they’re frequently drawn shaded in lighting and purple/red was a common one. Macross Plus is old, but recently revived on Disney Plus so maybe that’s why you saw it.

Pretty sure one of the Zentraedi (or whatever they called the 40 foot tall aliens in Macross) had purple-ish skin. Khyron maybe?

Yep. The other character-level Zentraedi had blue/grey skin, but his was purple (with blue hair)  
@jackdavinci does this look right?
