Push Mowers

Not trying to hijack but you have to wonder.

With the financial troubles California is experiencing, wonder how long subsidation programs like this will remain in effect. Is it really necessary to subsidize the purchase of a $150 mower?

One last question for those that have the newer push mowers: How are they in the Fall when leaves are on the ground? Do they cut them up with the grass, or do the jam the blades when in sufficient numbers?

I saw a recomendation which related land size to what type of mower to get IIRC 1/2 an acre rated between a self propelled mower and a tractor (riding mower). I think that you are beyond the size that a cordless (battery) mower can handle too (on one charge).

You might look into corded electric, it’s a bit inconvienent but doable, or if you really want to be enviromentally friendly, consider converting much of that land back to it’s natural enviroment and just keep a small area of grass, which you can mow w/ the push mower.
