I was reflecting on the TV show _Pushing Daisies_ the other day. When it was cancelled after the second season, some questions which presumably were going to be addressed in the third season were left unanswered. One of them was why Chuck’s father’s “friend” wanted the two pocket watches. Were we ever given any clue to his reason?

I got the impression it was a standard “Last man Standing” war soldiers deal.

The watches, together would open some vault of war loot a la the Flying Hellfish

Supposedly we are getting those answers in comic book form.

A more recent (October 14) update is [here](http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/10/14/ask-ausiello-spoilers-on-ncis-house-greys-csi-and-more/#more-3360) (found via the Wikipedia article on the show):

“Question: Is there any news on that planned Pushing Daisies comic book? —Tommy
Ausiello: Bryan Fuller just turned in the script for the first one and he’s currently working with the show’s writers on the next three. Here’s a spoiler to whet your appetites: The first comic, which I’ve read and is awesome, features the return of \*\*_a_ \*\*\*\*_iu_!”
