I’ve seen something similar on a few of the Chinese video services but for various billiards and snooker. I think the announcer may have mentioned a key thing is the speed at which you strike the ball. There’s still the human element in play.

speed is of course one variable that is still up to the person. The aiming line is dependent on a certain speed and if you hit it with a speed different than the glasses “want” you to, you will have too much or too little break on the ball and miss the hole. The second issue is that you need to ensure your clubface is square with the aiming line when you hit the ball. That is not trivial for amateur golfers.
