Nasser and Prokofiev did not have any direct connection, but both had major events in 1953. Gamal Nasser led a military coup in Egypt (although he did not personally assume power until 1954) and composer Sergei Prokofiev died.
Little Nemo, thanks! I figured as much. Looking at the lyrics, most unrelated events are separated by commas. However, I believe the lyrics say “and” which I took to imply a connection instead of simply making the correct beats per measure.
