First, so everyone will have an idea what it is y’all are going on about, here’s a brief easy-to-understand description of the CI (Copenhagen Interpretation) and and the MWI (Many Worlds Interpretation).
Please ignore the source. It tells you something that the simplest explanation I could find (at least quickly) is on a parapsychology site. This topic is meat and drink to wackos everywhere.
Second, this topic is an entertaining philosophical speculation to knowledgeable scientists. Getting all worked up about this like it makes a difference is the mark of an ignorant nutter. For the record these are interpretations not theories. They make no unique predictions and are, therefore, untestable. People have a preference on aesthetic, rather than scientific, grounds. (Having said that, some people argue that a working quantum computer might be able to provide actual evidence for the MWI. But let’s not worry about that just now.)
Whether they “believe” it or not, all quantum physicists make use of the CI because the CI is the simplest way to describe what’s actually happening. Most quantum physicists, however, don’t find the CI very intellectually satisfying.
So the bottom line is that CI is still the “dominant” interpretation. However, if you ask a physicist to describe what’s “actually” going on, they’ll probably offer some version of the MWI as their personal WAG.

Truth Seeker, you see what I objected to was that he said CI is no longer taken seriously because it is taken seriously. I don’t have any problem with MWI.
Straight Dop is meant to be about fighting ignorance, but **ambushed ** is quite prepared to waffle on about a subject that he has little experince on and when it’s pointed out that he is wrong he becomes very rude.
