Seriously mate, what is the point of you? You’re a pathetic Brexit cultist. You insist against all evidence that Brexit means Brexit without any irony about how dumb that sounds. You simply refuse to address any evidence that all forms of Brexit harm, and insist there’s a majority for a hard Brexit despite all evidence to the contrary. People like you are ruining the UK. You’re on the same level as climate change deniers, flat earthers and Trumpists. Can you just go away, please? Your contributions, if that’s what we can charitably call them, to the Brexit debate are just corrosive and the opposite of helpful. He’s a pompous twat who has been bugging my tits off on here for fucking years. He seems to have absolutely no comprehension of the complexities of Brexit, and in previous threads he’s “stepped away” when challenged by those who do, rather than make any effort to learn. No doubt the OP has said a whole load of nasty lies about me but since he’s on my ignore list I don’t see them. You guys just don’t like people disagreeing with you. You don’t believe in democracy - unless the people vote the way you want. I have a very simple position on Brexit. It’s apparently too simple for everyone. Your lack of comprehension is your problem, not mine. Your position leaves no flexibility on trying to avoid likely very significant damage to your country. Democracy is not a suicide pact. If the majority voted for nuclear destruction, responsible members of government would still try to avoid nuclear destruction. Representative democracy means that elected representatives can and should do what’s best for the country, even if it might conflict with majority will (and especially if there are indications that the “majority will” determination was highly flawed, and that the present majority will might well be different). That doesn’t conflict with the concept of democratic government. ---

The threat of nukes is currently the only real deterrent against Argentina should they become aggressive. And nukes would have stopped the Korean and Vietnam wars very quickly. ---
