BTW, Anybody ever tell you that _you_ rock?. 😃 All of a sudden _Purple Haze_ is my number one song. Thanks for that very fine suggestion, buddy! Gotta go watch my video for the 50th time! I notice you’re in a short-sleeve shirt. Either you have a superhuman resistance to cold, or it’s not as cold that high up as I though. 'Splain, please? Adam ---

But you have to get over that and conquer it! I am 54 years old, and a couple of months ago I told myself that I was not going to die fearing _anything_! Then I asked myself “What are you most afraid of?” The answer was “heights”. So I confronted that fear, tumbled out of a “perfectly good airplane” and touched down safely. My Dad did it with the 82nd Airborne on D-Day, and I did it yesterday. Admittedly my Dad jumped at only 800 feet, but I bet he was just as scared as I was yesterday. Who are ya? 'Splain, please? > > Adam It _is_ cold up there, but one doesn’t care. Free-fall only lasts about 60-70 seconds and then the canopy opens and you’re back with “Mother Earth” and normal temps. Can’t tell you the exact temp, but , yeah, it was cold. Q ---

Wow! It looks great. I’m glad you followed through with it. I was going to take up the offer of a pilot acquaintence and try it for my 21st birthday (almost 20 years ago), but closer friends and family talked me out of it. Maybe someday I’ll get around to it after all. It sure looks like you had a blast. Congrats on facing your fear! ---

There are two instructors who stay with you and keep you balanced until you open your chute. I had a helmet. I think the reason they don’t supply helmets on tandem jumps is that it would be dangerous for the guy on the back. I might be wrong, though. ---

Too Cool! If I were a parachuter my cheer would be: **Who Are You!** _Doper Brigade!_ **How far do you go?** \*Til we go splat! \* **Quasi** think of how different it was for your dad. He could have had zhem Germans shooting at him. I would have been pooping my pants on the way down. Jumping out of a plane, getting shot at by Nazi. To complete the trifecta would have to be having my pants filled with spiders. (You know, same sex tandem jumping like that is illegal in Georgia… 😃 ) ---
