I like Quebec and enjoyed the five years I lived there. But there was a recent survey which basically showed Canadian provinces don’t much like their neighbours. Apart from the Maritimes and Prairies, few provinces much liked others or thought others liked them. Nevertheless, it was surprising to read that according to this one survey, only 12% of Ontarians liked Quebecois. Something like 50% of Quebecois liked Ontario. I’m not saying these parochial policies cause this. I’m not fully sure what does. If it is true, probably perceived favouritism or transfers.
