# Queen Elizabeth was conceived through artificial insemination?

Just to amplify a bit, the former medical student apparently believed that a father’s sperm merely acts as a sort of “trigger” to the pregnancy, making no genetic contribution to the future child. But it also carries a risk of damaging the future child if the father has gonorrhea (which the original would-be father in question did.)
