One of the great things about opera is so often NO ONE CAN IDENTIFY the language in which the performer is singing. Even if you’re fluent in it. I believe it’s been taken down for her a tad. ---

I had to have a language elective in undergraduate school, and choose German so that I could keep up with a Wagner libretto. Indeed, even if people speak the language in which the opera is sung, it is difficult to understand it. I wish Janis Joplin and Grace Slick had taken up Wagner opera. dammit.
