Watercolors were Her Majesty’s field, and she painted in her journals.  
She also did inks and pencils.  
A warm & charming style, she had.

I think all young women were taught art, music, dance, needlework and the like in her time.

I read in a children’s novel (_The Liberation of Clementine Tipton_, by Jane Flory) about the U. S. Centennial celebration that Queen Victoria sent some of her work to display in the Ladies’ Pavilion.

The Royal Collection has several dozen sketches of him by her, particularly from the early years of their marriage, such as [this one](https://www.rct.uk/collection/search#/4/collection/980063/portrait-of-prince-albert).

True, at least for those from families with money. But, in [Richard Westall](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Westall) and [William Leighton Leitch](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Leighton_Leitch), she had access to the best available teachers.
