OK, so my POS channel guide finally has a description up, which reads:

While attending an event at Babylon to stop Proposition 14, the gang witnesses a horrendous act of violence; Drew feels the fallout from coming out.

So based on that, I don’t think Drew’s gonna be injured in the (assumed) firebombing. Just based on the fact that they’ve been hospitalized already, I’m thinking that Ted and Justin are safe. If someone from the main group is going to be injured or killed, my money’s still on Michael, although wouldn’t it just be nasty if it were Debbie, or Justin’s mother?

Which is precisely the problem a lot of straight people have with homosexuality. Brian of all people should make that connection, but I guess he has a blind spot.

Here’s my new prediction: Brian will save Michael’s life and they’ll make up. I want my happy ending, dammit!

But Brian is a product of that straight people house in the burbs thing, so I can cut him some slack. Both his parents are alcoholics, his mother is distant and a religious nut, his father was abusive. As Brian sees it, who would want to put themselves through that?

And all too often, he’s right. Look what happened to Mel & Lindsey. They got married, had kids, nice suburban house, one had an affair, they split up, get into a nasty child custody battle, at one point they had a physical fight, throwing and breaking things, pushing & shoving. I guess it’s ok, because it ended in hot lesbian sex, but still.

How long before Michael & Ben’s domestic bliss goes all pear shaped?

Not soon enough to suit me. Have I mentioned I don’t like Ben? 😉

I think it’s a defense mechanism, and a way to justify the life he chose. It is also referenced against his own unhappy home life growing up.

Consider this. Brian pretends to not care and tells everyone so. He tries to act callous and selfish. BUT whenever someone needs help, he is right there.

From the previews for next week’s show it looks like a bomb was planted inside Babylon.

I saw the episode but it’s not clear if there was a bomb or if the explosion was an accident. Maybe that’s a future plot point.

There was a bright flash of light, then an explosion. I think it was a mini-nuke. And light travels slower in Babylon.

Homosexuality is a crime against nature. Homosexuals are everywhere in Babylon- you can’t sling an Ikea endtable without hitting at least a dozen of them, so naturally nature’s laws are warped. Just logic.

The brightlight make me think it was a car running into the building; but isn’t it elevated? I guess it could have been a truck bomb.

And once again Brian comes through for others. I thought it was extremely kind the way he put his hand on Ben’s shoulder. He said more with than touch to Ben than he has since they’ve met. You really see his good side when the chips are on the table. I was kinda surprised by Ben’s snapping at Deb. That’s a first.

Debbie deals with things better when she’s focused on other people’s problems, but can spiral downwards when she gets too far into her own head. So Ben was probably just trying to snap her out of it before she escalated. Go cook 30 lbs of cannoli, Deb.

Sounded strange coming from Ben, though. It was almost more something Brian would say.

“Can I tell people Cyndi Lauper saved my life?” _snerk_

Boy, ya just gotta feel sorry for Louis, don’tcha? First there’s that unfortunate Bonaduce obsession, and now the first time out in a crowd and this happens.

So I guess Mel and Lindsey are back together. Um, yay I suppose. Good that they’re apparently going to give the lesbians a happy ending. These last few episodes have more firmly convinced me that Thea Gill couldn’t act like she wanted water if she were on fire.

Nothing like a good bombing to turn a guy from a commitment-phobe to a family man, is there? Will it last through the end of the series? Three episodes without fucking someone other than Justin, I don’t think Brian can hold out that long.

You noticed that too? She and Hal Sparks should be forever banned from being in front of a camera after the end of this series. At least Scott Lowell has improved as the series progressed. I think Hal has actually gotten worse.

Even if Brian lasts 3 episodes, it’s difficult to see him staying monogamous for long. Although being afraid that you’ve lost someone can bring your true feelings to the surface, it’s hard to change long-term behavior.

Finally able to see the last “blast” episode. With only three more episodes to go, I am getting this uneasy feeling they are preparing to wrap it up with a pretty bow and have a slow-motion montage of everybody happyhappyhappy which I think would be crappycrappycrappy.

I wouldn’t mind a little happyhappyhappy, but I’m worried about Brian & Justin. “I love you.” What the hell is that? What’s next, run off to Canada & get married, house in the 'burbs, white picket fence, 2.5 kids?

For me, the only person I want to have a happy ending is Emmett. The rest of them can all die because Brian spiked the punch bowl with cyanide or something.

Well, I don’t necessarily want them ALL to die, but I agree…give Emmett a break. He should have taken Mr. Pickles’ money way back when. Refusing the money was a very weak plothole and any Gay attorney would have told him was a stupid thing to do. He could have taken the money and started a charity, or opened a home for homeless Gay kids or something.

And yes, a little happyhappyhappy is ok…but please don’t let them wrap this up with everybody adopting babies and opening up the Rainbow Memorial Childcare Center in the rebuilt Babylon site.

Well, if they ever decide to remake The Tick, Hal Sparks can play the goofy side-kick.
