> I have a bigger problem with Rogers and Barnes defeating an armored Stark, truth be told. He should have been casually able to splatter both of them.

No idea why, both are way better fighters and militarily trainer and one has actual super powers and the other an arm thats nearly as good as anything Stark has.

Barnes has also received some variation of Erskine serum, and his WWII-era prosthetic arm is certainly the equal to anything Tony Stark built in his home workshop. One wonders why they didn’t build an entire cybernetic body for Zola instead of a sparkpunk computer brain in an abandoned Fallout vault.

Yep. but that’s generally true of the comics as well as the movies – and of DC as well as Marvel. E.g., sometimes the Flash runs around the Earth in a fraction of a second, other times he gets shot by someone who doesn’t even have superspeed.

Would we be on trial at all if there was an order that we be shot on sight, though? Because that was the situation after Bucky escaped at Zemo’s command.

> Beta technology, enough said. I mean the real reason is that it’s a comic book universe, and major characters are worth concrete amounts of money. To kill off a major character like Captain America means losing out on potentially billions of dollars in profits from future movies with him in it. Technically vision should have just chopped all the rebel’s legs off with his eye lasers during the airport fight earlier.

_Technically_, Wanda could have just depowered all the pro-Accord forces with a single thought, that works both ways.

Cold War-era arm, I think.

At the time, wasn’t Zola recruited into SHIELD, and thus out of direct HYDRA hands? SHIELD didn’t have the tech for that sort of arm at, uh, hand, and even if they did, they probably would not have built a cyber-body for a scientist, that I am sure some of the top brass did not completely trust. They would have been crankin’ those out for their elite agents.

Vaguely related question for comic book followers: Does Bucky ever wield Mjolnir? If so, was he codenamed ‘Arm & Hammer’? And do I hate myself for that question?
