# Question about deer droppings (volume)

Usually when you find deer droppings, you see just a few pellets. If you could collect all the pellets a deer excretes during the day, would the volume be commensurate with its size compared to amount excreted by a horse or a cow/bull?

Huh, usually when I see deer droppings, it’s a whole big pile of them. Maybe you’re just finding spoor after it’s been disturbed by scavengers?
