I caught the last part of the show where they are showing the house. What was the boy suffering from that they had to make the house so safe? ---

And what was going on with the flooring and tile guys not showing up? And was that the contractor who said he guessed they didn’t think it was important enough? ---

And how come most other families got cars as part of their makeovers, but when they lifted the garage doors, the family got… boxes for Ben. Just boxes. They had to have been expecting something more. ---

I can think of just a handful of shows where a car has been given - the previous week on the farm, the one with the older woman who takes care of the neighborhood, and the one where they tore the old truck apart to build the kid’s bed and create a home theater. There may be more that I’m not thinking of, but it’s certainly not a common occurance. ---

Oh, Ok. I’ve only watched it two other times before last night’s (one was a very large blended family, where the youngest girl had a heart transplant, and the other was a family farm where the husband had died in a wreck three months earlier), and they both got cars, so I assumed it was standard. ---

I caught this not too long ago. I think the episode was pretty good, but what made me laugh was seeing Mr. T come on the construction site to mtivate folks. But if the kid had oesteogenesis imperfecta, they shoulda had Sam “The Man” Jackson come on, reprising his role from “Unbreakable.” The kid should have totally met Mr. Glass! ---

…you could call it “EXTREME MAKEOVER DISASTERS”! Yes, most of the work looks 'jerry-built" to me…they cut corners, and rush the whole job. Even though they are sincere, the work probably has flaws, which are hidden. After a few years, when the floors start to sag and warp, and the doors won’t close, and the plumbing starts to leak, I’d like to see how the people react. My prevoius house was just such a disaster…it had been worked on over the years, and every job that was done was screwed up.
