# Question for C K Dexter Haven or scotandersn

When first checking the responses to my query about “Fickle continents”, I saw a number of intelligent answers. But they disappeared ! Where have they gone ?

I’m not **Dex** , but I can answer that – it wasn’t a question about a previously written Straight Dope column or staff report per se, so it got moved to a forum called General Questions, which you can easily locate on the main menu. (I think it’s dropped to the second or third page of that forum’s thread list by now.)

I infer, however, that you’re not asking about the location of that thread, but about some replies that used to be in it at one time, but are now gone? You might consider emailing **Dex** directly; his email address should be accessable through his profile [here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/member.php) (at least I assume that you as a guest can see the email link).

Repeating what I said in the thread in question: I have no idea. The numbering of responses seems to be ordered. I didn’t read the thread that well, so I don’t know what’s missing. I’ll have someone check to see if something wonky happened.

To my knowledge, there was certainly no deliberate moderator intervention to make any posts disappear…

BTW, if you do see something weird going on, please use the REPORT BAD POST button – it’s the exclamation point [!] in the upper right corner of each post. You can’t report your own post, but you could report someone else’s and direct the moderator’s attention to the problem.

That’s a much faster way of getting attention than merely posting in the thread, or opening a new thread altogether.
