I sent you e-mail in addition to this warning. It was kicked back with a “no transport provided” error message. I dunno what the problem was. However, there are other, and very logical reasons, for posting warnings to threads. It publicizes to the members what we consider bad behavior. It also makes public, in a tangential manner, our reasons for banning a particular poster. Darwin knows there are plenty of people around to accuse us of acting imperiously. So applying a small bit of reason shows two, and maybe three, logical reasons for making public warnings. Fair enough? ---

The tooba is often misunderstood, even by composers. One re-orchestrated famous parts of Swan Lake to feature tooba arias. This sounds nice on paper, but the wind needed would have killed an Indian elephant. Perhaps even an African elephant. 🙂 ---

Don’t we Double Bass players get some kudos too? No walking to rehearsal. No getting tiny cars, although I could fit mine in my brother’s Ford Mustang hatchback. A lot harder to play for pennies at the airport/bus station, etc. The same boring parts in most operetta type music. And remember kids, bass players do it standing up.
