# Question for the New Yorkers

Homecoming really doesn’t have anything to do with playing games away and then returning home. As far as I can tell, it represents the fans/alums coming home to see a game and have a big celebration. My college pushes Homecoming Weekend as a way for the extended alum community to come back to campus for a big celebration. Even in HS it was a weekend for former students to come back and watch a game.

That’s more of homecoming at the college level. Rarely do high schools have it where alumni come except some of the private schools and heck, those places never miss a chance to hit up alumni for money.
