# Question from the What's Going On section

I was looking at the bottom of the page and noticed the What’s Going On blurb at the bottom. It says the following:

My question: Is this for the year, since the board moved from AOL, or cumulative for all time?

(sorry if this has been asked and answered before…just curious)

It’s a rough count at best and probably reflects from when the board opened on the Reader site, which would be from 1999.

For one number, though, I think the “Active Members” count shows how many people have used the board in a certain time frame (that you can configure in the control panel), but not how many people have used the board since the beginning of time.
