# Question on aviation jargon 'injure' flight restrictions

I had never come across the term “injure” flight restrictions before. I couldn’t find the usage on Google either. Is the use of "injure’ (as in violate) restrictions a common term in the aviation industry?

I hope I’m not violating GQ protocol too much by saying that “injure” as an aviation term reminds me a lot of [“insult”](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insult_(medical)#:~:text=In%20medical%20terms%2C%20an%20insult,electrical%20event%20(the%20insult).) as a medical term (which ironically essentially means ‘injure’).
