# Question on Vagina Size

It seems the thinking nowadays is that it’s all one-size-fits-any-size when it comes to intercourse, like it doesn’t make any difference. We only hear about penis size, not the other side of the equation.
What do you think? Would it work better to keep the larges with the larges or the smalls with the smalls or does it matter? Do you think if a woman does her kegels then she could not be too large down there for even a guy with a small penis to like? Also, how do you get around it if his penis is too large? From what I hear lately, they seem to think this isn’t possible, since women give birth through the vaginal canal.
Please state if you are a male or a female, if you don’t mind.

I have no idea how to answer your question, but I do have an anecdote.
I also thought there was not such thing as a penis too large for a vagina. Until I found one. I was about 19 and I decided to sleep with this guy. Well, his member was HUGE. Like, as big as my forearm huge. We tried for a good 5 minutes, but I think my fear of this huge thing dried me up, so we tried to use lotion. Bad mistake. I tore a little bit. Scented lotion in a vaginal tear REALLY hurts. So we stopped. I couldn’t even give a BJ because I apparently have a small mouth or something.
I will never forget the experience (nor tell my husband about it).

Having enjoyed a variety of vagina in my day, I would tend to say its more about muscle tone than size per se.

If [this](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fisting) is possible (and a good friend tells me it has been with a VERY extensive cross-spectrum of women of all physiognomies) then there should be no such thing as too large a penis given sufficient lubrication. The codicil to this is that couples should never, ever be ashamed to use water-based lube; it’s one of the great secrets to a happy sensual life with each other.
I’ve not encountered too big. I think the natural default is for the labia to close around whatever’s in it with a modicum of tightness. The only real contradiction I’ve heard has been from _The Godfather_, so consider the source.

Ah. I see. Well, to that statement, all I can say is: have you _heard_ a woman giving birth? Seen it on TV or something? It’s not exactly described as a pleasant sensation. What the hell makes you think a woman would seek something like that out as happyfuntime?

Correct. Some women _can’t imagine_ it being possible, let alone bearable–and later come to find that, done right, it is not only possible, but good. Really, _really_ good.

Everyone is made somewhat differently, and pleasure is a very subjective thing. Not every woman wants an abnormally huge, or even large-side-of-average, penis – it can be so painful that sexual relations, while not impossible, are not enjoyable.

In my experience, the problem with larger penises has been in the way their owners don’t want to take the time for foreplay, so i’m not turned on enough to enjoy myself during sex.
Not all men are like that… but that’s how it was for me

Once I was with a man who was a bit large. It was my fourth or fifth time I had ever had sex (age 32) and it hurt. I couldn’t enjoy it because it hurt and wanted very much to say Hurry up and finish but knew it would ruin his mood.
Having since given birth, I doubt that would happen again, though I’ve had sex since giving birth about 12 times.

I find it difficult to believe that nobody knows this, but vaginas expand or contract to accommodate the penis (or whatever) inside.

True, but 200% of 4" is still just 8". Trojan Magnums are, IIRC, 8.25. Some men are quite large, and some women don’t expand the full 200% either.

Anecdotal tale;
I am barely larger than average, judging by the 6" average, and only once have I encountered a woman whose vagina did not expand to allow it.
I have had ignorance fought today- I had no idea why it wouldn’t go in any further.
It was a bad sexual experience- she was trying to forget someone else, so likely she just wasn’t ready for sex, thus no expansion.

Sure, there’s always outliers.
There is also a condition, not exclusive to rape/trauma victims but common among them, wherein the vagina sort of locks down due to stress/trauma triggering and will allow nothing to penetrate. I was drinking with a guy buddy of mine once and he relayed a tale wherein he was with a woman who had suffered abuse in her teen years. One time, they were fooling around, hot and ready, and when he tried to penetrate, her vag practically slammed shut on him and there was nothing either of them could do about it. “Just wait,” she told him. They did, continued to fool around, and pretty soon, she opened up and they had at it.
So yeah, I probably should have ended my previous post with “YMMV.” I have only encountered one penis in my life time that I was not sure would fit. We were not in a situation where there was time and space for adequate preparation/foreplay, so I just blew him and we went on about our business. (It was a drunken hook up at my sister’s first wedding reception. 🆒) Generally, speaking, if it’s bigger than a tampon or smaller than an infant’s head, just about any penis will do the job just fine, barring extremes of either end of the size spectrum.
