# Question regarding Mod inactivity.

How long is a moderator generally inactive before he/she is removed from the mod list? I only ask because I sent **John Corrado** an email inviting him to a recent dopefest (he never responded), and he hasn’t posted since March 18.

Not trying to call him out or anything… just curious.

**Alphagene** was inactive but on the mod list for well over a year, as I recall. I always wondered why.

Moderators are people too, and sometimes real-life circumstances necessitate a lessened presence on the board.

We’ve had staffers take breaks before. Sometimes they come back. Sometimes they don’t.

I do not expect John to be back. We wish him well.
