Ain’t this the place to ask about board issues? I think it’s a bit much. There is no need to add cautionary colors to my words. ---

The rule for quotes is that you cannot change anything inside of a quote box. However, normal editorial rules apply. So bolding and highlighting are ok to emphasize what part of the quote is being referenced. Snipping out words and using ellipses (…) or [snip] is acceptable, as long as snipping out the words does not change the meaning of the quote. ---

I have 3 daughters in child bearing age. I have 2 grand-daughters coming up. A DIL How dare you say I have nothing to worry about. Big family, all voted Democrat. Donated money to campaigns. Signed petitions. My daughter’s boyfriend who lives here with us is a Muslim college professor. Yes we have concerns. I pay taxes…I have economic concerns. I’m worried I can’t get my insulin if he screws that shit up. You don’t have to be queer, brown or an immigrant to be worried about what’s coming. Really, how dare you. ---

I’m definitely not getting involved in some of the directions this thread is going in, including some of the things that **Beck** considers to be protective necessities. But what I will say is that, while there can be legitimate complaints about moderation – and I’ve joined in some of them myself – I see no problem with this mod note. I have not, in fact, ever seen any problem with any modding that @Aspenglow has ever done. ---

I never once complained about her mod note. She’s always been fair with me. I’m not sure why anyone figured it was a problem. Then I saw this thread and I said what I thought was the reason she noted me. I didn’t know. Taking a guess. ---
