I was a member for more than a year before I actually communicated with another Doper outside of this board, and that was an e-mail mention that my sig. was misspelled. Really. ---

You’ve been here for 4 months and have fewer than 400 posts. On the scale of this board that’s essentially zero. Those relationships, if they develop, develop over time. The people that I’ve developed off-board relationships with have mostly come through off-board activities like games, with the odd random IM friendship thrown in, and recently getting to know people through livejournal. There are some people that I’ve been interacting with semi-regularly for a year or more, but there are still very few people from the board that I would consider my _friends_, though, and I suspect fewer still that would think that way about me. ---
