Maybe not, cigarettes taste horrible to me now after 5 years.
They’re simple to refill, the coils are replaceable, and they’re very cheap. You can buy a dozen of them for $10 if you look for them because they’re old tech. They are also rated for very low power. If you put more than about 25 watts on one of them you’ll burn them up. As such, they’re great for starting but if you want higher output you’ll grow out of them in short order.
It is? I’ve been paying the same $9 per 30 mL bottle for six years. And I haven’t noticed the price of parts going up, either.
How long do those batteries last, Weisshund?
The Juul is the best convenience store ecig by a long shot – the little cigarette-looking things are simply not strong enough and the batteries don’t hold a charge long enough to be useful. The problem with Juul is that it will be much more expensive to continue using than other types of ecigs from a vape shop or online. Get one and try it; if it works well for you, find a local vape shop and hang out there to learn more about what else is available.
You definitely want to have more than one device in case yours goes kaput for some reason. A good beginner kit would be theAspire Zelos 50W Starter Kit. Order an extra pack of Nautilus BVC coils and an assortment of different strengths and flavors of eliquid.
If expense is a concern, eventually you will want to learn to make your own juice. It isn’t hard at all, just a short learning curve, and those $10 to $30 bottles of juice end up costing you less than 50 cents.
I’ve been vaping since 2007 after over 40 years of smoking more than two packs a day … no desire for a cigarette at all.
Thanks for all the information, I would like to find out the closest thing to a real cigarette and I have heard that juul is exactly that. I don’t know if it will be more expensive than smoking one pack a day. anyone knows how long a pod takes?
49.99$ for juul starter kit is a good price, isn’t it? I really love the size, looks very handy.
Yes, the sensation with Juul is very close to smoking – it’s a good way to get started with ecigs. Find a store near you on the store locator on the Juul website and go get one.
Each pod contains about the same amount of nicotine as a pack of cigarettes – if you smoke a pack a day you can expect a pod to last a day … so the cost in most states is going to be a little less than smoking.
If the cost is important to you, there are several videos on Youtube showing how to refill Juul pods – that will make them much cheaper to use. Switching to a standard tank and battery setup like the one I linked to above makes it even less expensive.
Just go get one. You’ll be glad you did.
I found that vaping on something less like a cigarette helped me not want a cigarette. I tried out some of the guys that are the size and shape of a cig, but whenever I would hit them, I would be expecting the normal cigarette taste and feel, and so it always felt a little off when I got vape instead.
Using something a bit less like a cigarette prevents that disconcerting disconnect.
YMMV, all that’s important is to try stuff and keep going till you find something you like. Most of the people that I know that failed to make the switch only tried out one or two vape systems or flavors, decided it was not to their liking, and kept smoking without trying anything else.
I think what I am gonna do, will be to try juul e cigs first and see how well it works. Does anyone know where i can find any good discount codes?
Thanks for all suggestions, much appreciated.
I buy these for my mother. Easy to use and maintain, and cheap to try. A big step up from the old style models we used a few years back, with separate batting-filled juice reservoir, heating element, and battery. They were a pain in the ass.
I bought the first one locally for $33. Went online after that, and saved quite a lot.
I’d warn you to be SOMEWHAT careful about what juices you buy. I think some are worse than others for you. For example, I think clove and cinnamon might be rough on your lungs. That’s something you’ll have to decide for yourself, but I encourage you to think about it.
Edit: They’re small, last virtually all day, and have a familiar formfactor (like a disposable butane lighter). All pluses, I think.
Edit 2: Shipping from the US warehouse results in much quicker delivery.
I would advise going against these tanks. I had awful problems with the cheap coils that go with them. I basically spent all my time buying and changing coils, all the while getting a fairly poor draw of nicotine from them. I cant remember the type of e-cig I now have, I simply go into my local ecig shop for new coils once a month. I would suggest using a slightly more expensive ecig then the very very cheapest. Mines cost around $45-$50. Ecigs around this price point are kinda adequate for most smokers. For heavy smokers maybe a tank ecig is best.
Too late to edit my post. I meant to type it’s probably not best to buy those cheap clearomizers. The coils that come with them are woeful. I don’t know why I mistakenly said cheap tanks.
Does anyone refill the disposable pods from JUUL or VUSE that you can get from the local Caseys? It takes about a minute. You can get 60 ml of juice for $20 and refill roughly 30 pods that cost $7.50 a piece. The pods will last around a month before the coil burns out.
