Can a person have their posting privileges turned off per forum?

purely hypothetical example: If I wanted to, could I have my posting privileges turned off in GD, but still be able to post in the other forums?

related query: Can a person be banned, on a individual forum basis?

Is any of the above even POSSIBLE via admin. controls?

As announcements can’t be made in a single forum, I’m hazarding a guess that posting privileges can’t be suspended in a single forum either.

Yes, people can be banned from specific forums. For example, I can’t prove this because I’ve never seen them, but I bet the Mods have their own forums. But all regular users are banned from it. I know of a few message boards that hide their secret forums so no one thinks of getting in, and a few have their secret forums in the open but once you try to enter it says you do not have access.
I imagine the same concepts that are applied to a mods forum can be applied to an individual forum for specific users. Though, I have no idea how easy or difficult it is to do that on an individual basis.

I’m sorry, but this is incorrect. Announcements can be made in a single Forum in vBulletin. I currently have several that are Forum-specific.

As to the OP - yes, you can block users from individual Forums, but it can be a maintenance nightmare for the Admins if you start doing it for more than one person. And we all know about the camel’s nose and the tent…
