Questions for glasses people.

I understand the problem is common, but I’ve had progressives for years and have never had even a minutes worth of problem with new ones - except noting how much clearer the paper is.
Back 40 years ago I noted that my girlfriends who had contacts took an inordinate time cleaning them, so I was never interested. Anyhow I’ve been wearing glasses since second grade, so not having them would be weird.

This sounds exactly like my experience. I tried to get used to them, but I just couldn’t. I even mashed the side of my truck into the edge of my garage door opening because my depth perception was so messed up (I took the wheel ONLY to park, after a driving lesson for my teen :smack:).
I went to a different doctor and he checked the glasses and apparently the lenses were ground incorrectly. What a relief, I thought, expecting that would solve it. The new ones were better, but still I felt nauseous and there was a yellow stripe down one side of everything and a blue one down the other. They remade them with thicker lenses and it was a bit better, but I really never did get used to them.
The lenses not being made right is apparently common though, so it wouldn’t hurt to get them checked. Good luck.
