Hey guys - I hope this is the proper forum, if not please feel free to move…

So I currently reside in the washington metropolitan area but work might have me relocating to the Crescent City…

Now I know about Mardi Gras and Southern Decadence, etc , etc - what I don’t about is every-day life in New Orleans. Where should I look for an apt? What areas to avoid? What kind of prices to expect? I don’t mind living in the gaybourhood (lived in Dupont Circle for years) but wouldn’t mind living in the slightly off-beat up-and-coming areas as well (Adams Morgan for those familiar with DC)…
Any suggestions? Websites?

Thanks,

I’ve only visited once, but it’s a very gay-friendly city. Check out the Marigny district.
