If you save the smilies from wherever to your computer, then you can add them like regular pictures into your document.

I grew up in a family with all women (what else did you want to know about me) so I’ll answer this one.

The squeal is a scream. Women don’t have falsetto. (There may be some exceptions, I don’t know and/or care.) Instead, when their “throat” contacts in a similar way to men’s falsetto, it produces in technical jargon not a voice, but a whistle. Note how women cannot “speak” with their scream. That is, saving one, highly clear message.

The purpose for this, if such a horrible noise can be fairly said to have a purpose, is to give women a weapon and a way to call for help. If you’ve had a powerful women scream at you as loudly as possible from a short distance, as my relatives occasionally did, you’ll know that not something you want to repeat immediately.

Young girls who do this in an uncontrolled way (take my word for it) are helped through social conditioning by their family. Unfortunately it’s a powerful “tool” in the hands of a young girl, who say hypothetically is at the mercy of three older sisters and two older female cousins in terms of brawn and intelligence. Hence, it can take a few years to completely irradicate.

I have a font on my computer (I think it’s called Wingdings) that is comprised of symbols such as smiley faces, unhappy faces, arrows, etc. Whenever you type :), even in a different font, it automatically changes to a smiley face. Similarly, whenever you tupe --\>, it converts that to an arrow.

OK, I’ll ask…

what are people really asking when they ask, “How **you** doing?”?

Don’t know about the blue square but the red with white slash is a semifore flag meaning DIVER DOWN. This flag should be displayed on a boat or on top of a bouy to alert others that some one is under water and to be careful boating in that area.

I’d be interested in finding the answer to the other also.

\*I like that! Change the state motto from “Florida: America’s Vacation Spot” to “Florida: America’s Dangly Bits”. \*

So what happens when America sees a real hottie, and gets an erection?

Hmmmm … maybe **that** explains the Bermuda Triangle!

In one episode of Friends, Joey had to go to a sleep clinic for snoring. He’s not allowed to sleep the night before, so he keeps dozing off in the waiting room. A pretty girl comes in and sits near him. He tries to hit on her but since he’s drowsy, he just says “How YOU doin?” rather aimlessly, and Chandler replies “You’re hitting on the entire room!” Since then it’s become kind of a goofy flirty phrase.

I’m pretty sure it was in other episodes as well. I know I’ve seen it a few times. But it may have started with that particular episode. I was talking to someone once (I had met them on the internet) and he asked (in ICQ), “How YOU doin’?” So I commented that I didn’t know he watched “Friends.” He said that he didn’t, he had no idea of the reference, and he said that was a thing he and his friends had been doing for years. So, it’s possible that he had heard it and just didn’t know where it started, or maybe the phrase was popular in some circles before Joey used it.
