Just started the TV show, but also have the first book waiting to be read. I just got to the part in the show where [Ned is executed]. Is this about where the first book ends? Can I read the book without spoiling the TV show at this point? Joe ---

You’ve only got an episode or two left of season one, might as well go ahead and finish it. At least that’s the order I used, watched the season first and then read the books. There is stuff at the very end of the book you won’t want to read before finishing the show, but it’s a good-sized book so you could easily start on it and still finish the episodes before you got ahead of yourself. ---

Season 2 also basically covers the events of book 2. Book 3 will reportedly be split up into two seasons of show (which don’t exist yet). ---

The last scene in Season 1 is also the last scene in the book. ---
