> How come when someone says they can’t understand me it makes sense to everyone, but when I say the same person cannot understand me people think it’s offensive? I’m not insulting someone by saying “you aren’t getting it”. I am simply stating fact.

I’m not insulted, and my position is not that I don’t understand, but rather that your posts often _aren’t capable of being understood_. That’s because you express yourself badly.

You may be talking rubbish or you may be creating an earth-shattering work of genius which will change the world. As long as you write thousand-word posts which use words in a way that only you could understand, noone will know which is true.

Yes. He just groups them into a single post box to save the hamsters.

I put up a lot of resistance to ohms.

Because you don’t make good faith efforts to correct your poor communication issues and expect that others learn to comprehend you.

Well only in the sense that Asshat, Cum Guzzler and I Eat Stupid Food are all “Erek” with more syllables.

I have NoClueBoy

**kidchameleon** You might want to study up on the word “ohm” a little. When people talk about “In the Beginning there was the Word”, the Hindus believe that word was “Ohm”, and from that word was created all other words. I don’t understand it well enough to explain it better, especially considering I confuse the hell out of you when I DO understand the concept better.

Just had to chime in after reading through this thread and others - I’m an educational psychologist turned career counsellor and studied with, and am friends with clinical psychologists. I get the impression that the good dr mark is a non-practising psychologist, probably stuck in academia for the duration. I can’t imagine that with his attitude he works closely with the myriad of clients the average clinical psychologist works with, particularly when excellent and flexible communication skills are a necessity. Rest assured, the clinical psychologists I know, do not behave with such intellectual superiority.

That’s true. You can just kind of skim across the top and take the flotsam of life. That’s the shiney part anyway.

But after a while, you realize you can see through the shallow end and that’s all there is.
