What do these men have in common? Tommy McCarthy John Kerins Chief Roseman Count Campau Joe Gerhardt Jack Glasscock Cub Stricker Jack Crooks George Gore Bob Caruthers Bill Watkins Doggie Miller Al Buckenberger Chris Von der Ahe Joe Quinn Lew Phelan Harry Diddlebock Arlie Latham Roger Connor Tommy Dowd Hugh Nicol Bill Hallman I would guess there is at least one name on the list that should give a good clue. A quick search will certainly provide the answer. Anyone know without looking? They are the 22 men who managed the St.Louis Browns baseball club between 1890-1897 ---

I didn’t get the specific answer, but I knew the general area because of Roger Connor, who is better known for being the man who held the home run mark until Babe Ruth broke it – Connor’s 138 currently puts him in a five-way tie for 456th. ---
