# Quick! What's a high-training, low-risk profession?

If one was to judge by Hollywood’s portrayals of mathematicians, the main risk is going insane.

But hey, I’m studying cryptography, the only field of mathematics in which you risk having suit-wearing people from shady three-letter agencies “disappearing” you in the middle of the night. 😛

I love the fact the Google’s top suggestions after you type “died in a” are all xkcd references, except “died in a dream”.
