About 2 years ago someone on Twitter mentioned that “Love Shack” was the worst earworm of all time. I said “nuh uh” and started singing it, and, well, that’s how that happened. I get lots of other ones too but that’s the main infestation. ---

So, today I was surprised to find out that Dr. Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band (Cherchez La Femme) and Kid Creole and the Coconuts were not at all affiliated. But then, after further research, I was not surprised to find that they were both founded or co-founded by the same guy under a different name. The same guy was also in Machine (There But For The Grace of God Go I). In the course of finding out all of this old news from very old bands, I got Endicott stuck in my head. And it is of course one of the many tunes that’s in ballad meter (8.6.8.6) so you can sing the lyrics of Amazing Grace, Tangled Up in Blue, or dozens of other ballad meter songs to that tune. ---
