I’ve been reading _Right Ho, Jeeves_, which reminded me of how well Hugh Laurie and Stephen Frye played the characters. I looked up some bits on youtube for fun, and made the mistake of clicking on Bertie Wooster singing “[Tweet Tweet](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwNO5qXNAxM)”, a silly 1929 novelty song. Unfortunately, the maddeningly catchy tune has been stuck playing in an endless loop in my cranium ever since. ---

What I don’t understand is how an earworm can get started with a song that you really don’t like. I have music playing in my head all the time, I guess because I are a musician of sorts. Radio Clothahump usually plays 4-6 songs and they rotate, but right now, I’ve got one that I really dislike that snuck onto the playlist. Right now, I’m alternating between Time Passages by Al Stewart Grateful by Dave Nachmanoff Walk of Life by Dire Straits Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera and the one that’s about to make me pull my hair out: Fly Like An Eagle by the Steve Miller Band. Annoying as hell. ---

I’ve been hearing “You’re in the Money” for a few years - they use it on NPR’s “Marketplace” program but it doesn’t matter if I’ve heard the show or not. Once in a while, I get a different ear worm for a while but it always goes back. ---
