# quick windows 98 question

How do you configure which programs come on at startup in Windows 98? I’ve done it before, running something like “startup.config” or something not even close to that. Anyone know?

Are you talking about msconfig?
Click on “Run”, then put in msconfig.
Be AWFULLY, awfully careful what you uncheck.

I think the applet you’re after is MSCONFIG.EXE. Be careful! Don’t change settings you’re not sure about in there.
