OK, so I’m thinking that it may be time for a quiet get together. We had one, gosh, about two years ago now. I know when I hijacked the [lunch bunch thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=131984&perpage=50&highlight=ChiDope%20Lunch%20Bunch&pagenumber=5) I had suggested maybe the 13th of September, but that is just not gonna happen. So, any takers for a quiet evening of cards, some movies and maybe, just maybe, some food and alcohol? Maybe the last weekend in September or the first weekend in October. I’d like for us to still be able to sit in the yard if we want to and much later than that and it may be an impossibility. Pot luck for dinner, maybe. That worked well at Gundy’s for the last Chi-dope. So, any takers? ---

I think it’s a swell idea. We could get a really kick-ass game of Trivial Pursuit going. If you’re taking votes, I’d vote for the last weekend in September since the next weekend is my parents’ anniversary. Of course, I’d be more than happy to help out with any prep work beforehand. ---

That does sound like fun, **Jane**. I’ll say that my weekends between now and the end of September are pretty full, at least on Saturdays. Fridays would be a lot more do-able for me until the first weekend in October. ---

Either weekend looks good for me. Saturday would be my preference. I can bring Chili Crack. If **UncleBeer** is in town, he’ll be joining me (like he has a choice). 😉 And Jane, you just have to establish the rules ahead of time for a Quiet ChiDope, like _No Sex in the Bathroom_. ---
