I tried the patch, nicotine gum, pills ( side effects ) The only thing that worked for me was the e-cig. I now only occasionally take a puff of the non nicotine juice. The first week is tough though with the nicotine withdrawal.
What brand do you use?
You were told less than an hour ago to stop bumping threads to talk about e-cigs, and here you are doing it again.
Don’t stay on this path if you want to continue to post here.

Whichever one she(?) works for, I’m guessing.
What a good idea! That’s very impressive. I quit cigarettes using an E-cig. I found that using liquids that have tobacco flavors really help. Especially when I found my old brand of smokes in a liquid, Juicy Exported (It’s Exporta flavor!!!)
What works for some people doesn’t work for others.
I’m impatient so the gradually wind down method wouldn’t work for me. I’ve quit before and ended up back on them, the most recent time I quit was April this year so I’m roughly 6 months smoke free.
This time round I used the Champix. Not everyone can use them, they have some interesting side effects on different people.
So for me, routine is a killer with trying to stop a habit like smoking. So I started on the Champix and went away on a holiday for a week where I’d be right out of routine. Smoked as normal, didn’t really try to cut down, just let the chemicals do their work.
Came home, gave myself a couple of days to build up the mental strength then stopped. Geez it was hard. Nicotine withdrawal feels a lot like hunger pangs and the withdrawal from the other junk in them is like anxiety.
Anyway, first 3-4 days were the hardest, then it started to get easier and I started to wind down the Champix to half dose for a couple of weeks and then stopped about a month early.
Haven’t had one since, still have an almost full packet on the cupboard in the bedroom. Have moments when I really feel like one, but I know for me that I won’t stop at 1, so I don’t.
I happened to click on the quit counter last Friday. 2yrs 6m 4d as of the 17th I believe. Wife is still using the E-cigs to get her through the day at work, no attempt to quit.
