This is the kind of thing that makes me glad I don’t have a TV anymore. Well, I do have one, but it’s been in storage since July, so I haven’t watched it regularly since them. I hate commercials with talking babies; any time I see a computer-enhanced baby speaking in full sentences, I get the willies. I don’t want to think about it, ever, but now I am. I like Quiznos, but now that I know that such a commercial exists, I don’t think I can go there now, just knowing about that commercial. I used to think about the hamsters all the time when I went there, and I’d even sing the song from that commercial occasionally. “The Quiznos sub… They are so goood to us…” Talking CGI babies are First Amendment abuse. ---

I think the Quiznos talking baby and the encephalitic King from the Burger King ads should frolic under the Verizon tree with all the people in little bubbles. Then a lightning strike could hit the tree causing it to topple onto them, bringing to an end the three creepiest ad campaigns going today. ---

Shut up, eveyone! Shut up! I like Bob, the Talking Baby and I think they need to do more commercials with him. I didn’t watch the show – that seemed like it’d be Just Too Much. But a commercial-length shot of Bob is just right. ---

I have not seen any of these commercials mentioned, so my appreciation and understanding of this thread is a bit limited. It has, however, made me glad I don’t watch TV much (though I do plan on watching some of the Olympics). Commercial breaks are reading time, for me. ---

Does anyone’s Quizno’s still sell the sauce by itself in flask-shaped glass bottles? None of the ones around here do anymore. There’s also a salad based on that, with bleu cheese. Smother it with goodies from the pepper bar, and it’s instant heaven. ---

The baby doesn’t bother me. Most of their other commercials did, but that one doesn’t bother me. Doesn’t make me want to eat a quizno’s either, but it doesn’t bother me. ---
