Just curious about what happened to the Great Debates thread titled “Western Muslims” (or maybe it was “Muslims in the West” or possibly “How the West was Muslim”). I sort of expected to never see the OP, LumpyX, again, and that the thread would eventually be closed – but why was it disappeared?

Dunno for sure, but pretty much every time that happens, the mods have wished a sock puppet and his thread into the cornfield.

Not a mod, but my best guess would be that he was a returned sock.

We prefer that you e-mail or PM a mod if you have a question about a thread disappearing, especially if the OP was a guest. In the vast majority of the cases, the missing threads were the handiwork of a sock or a troll, and we don’t want to give any attention to them.

So, in the future, if you have such a question, please just shoot us an e-mail or PM. We’ll be glad to answer it.
