Looks like I’m the odd one out on this one with getting an 8 (_sad trombone_). Nice 6 and 7 you two!
After my two start words, I was seeing Bring, Brink, Drink, Grind for the #1 and #2 words (didn’t see Wring). And possibly Gouge or Vogue for #4 word. And _maybe_ Rally for #3. Grind would tell me what the two words were, but so would Bring…I just chose wrong. No way I was seeing Larva, that is until there was nothing else it could be.

Same. That one was quite the challenge with all the possibilities. I tried dream on the first word to help sort out chi\_e on the 3rd word. No way to come up with a sleuth word for both of them. And then spool instead of sloop, but it could also have been swoon, spoon or spook. Too many traps!
