Havoc was the only word I was seeing…I seem to forget about placing the O last, though both words are perfectly likely. I then needed a sleuth word (BEFOG), but I almost took my chances with Dodgy instead, but decided to play it safe.

Yep, we’ve had this trap before. If you don’t play the U early, it’s a double trap. I had Doggy and Dodgy (Goody was ruled out), plus I also had the Bound, Found, Pound trap too. My sleuth word wouldn’t tell me exactly what it was between the two D words, but it’d have told me if it was one of the \_OUND trap words at least. I got lucky choosing the right D word, as you did too after Goody. 🙂

I had 5 choices for the first word, and then it was a 50/50 between Tabby and Taffy…I chose correctly. 🙂 The rest of them were straight forward.
ETA - I just realized that I forgot about Taunt, Jaunt, and Vaunt (I had Daunt and Gaunt on my list only)…so really there were 8 words to choose from. Good thing it wasn’t one of those trap words!

I actually got two 50/50’s right! ( **Agile** -Axile + Bling- **Fling** ). This was one of those puzzles where each word helped with others, so not a hard-fought 6, but a 6 none the less!

Not a fan of Eclat either…seems rather obsolete, and or uncommon. It was hard to see, but the only word it could be for me.

How I missed seeing Weedy I know not…the only words I saw were Bendy and Wedgy, both of which I felt were unlikely, but the little kid in me chose Wedgy. 🤣

It’s a line from _Galaxy Quest_. Commander Taggart is trapped on a planet fighting a monster. Guy is talking to him on the communicator and says “Construct a weapon. Look around you, can you form some sort of rudimentary lathe?”
