After Clash, I was a little worried with not a lot to go on. Tweak was all I could see for the #4 word, but it at least gave me the K for the #3 word. But all I could see for that one was Quake…except that at least gave me the U for Nudge, and it all worked out with one guess to spare.

I almost did the same thing, but I saw that there were two possible answers. I guessed BAKER, which gave me \_A\_ER for one of the words, and the B for THUMB.

Very interesting game tonight. With three guesses left, I still had to solve two words. One was SATIN/STAIN, and I didn’t have much to go on for the other, but \_EVEL seemed most likely. I guessed GAVEL; that would test the A in second position, and tell me if \_\_VEL was in the right ballpark.
It worked out. Luckily I’d already used B and R so I could eliminate BEVEL and REVEL.
Best game in a while. Curious to see how everyone else does.

Playing RAISE as your first word helped. Having the A in second position eliminated SAINT and SATIN as possibilities.
