Havoc was the only word I was seeing…I seem to forget about placing the O last, though both words are perfectly likely. I then needed a sleuth word (BEFOG), but I almost took my chances with Dodgy instead, but decided to play it safe.
Yep, we’ve had this trap before. If you don’t play the U early, it’s a double trap. I had Doggy and Dodgy (Goody was ruled out), plus I also had the Bound, Found, Pound trap too. My sleuth word wouldn’t tell me exactly what it was between the two D words, but it’d have told me if it was one of the _OUND trap words at least. I got lucky choosing the right D word, as you did too after Goody.

I had 5 choices for the first word, and then it was a 50/50 between Tabby and Taffy…I chose correctly. The rest of them were straight forward.
ETA - I just realized that I forgot about Taunt, Jaunt, and Vaunt (I had Daunt and Gaunt on my list only)…so really there were 8 words to choose from. Good thing it wasn’t one of those trap words!

I actually got two 50/50’s right! (Agile-Axile + Bling-Fling). This was one of those puzzles where each word helped with others, so not a hard-fought 6, but a 6 none the less!
You sure made up for it today though with a 6 and 7! 
Not a fan of Eclat either…seems rather obsolete, and or uncommon. It was hard to see, but the only word it could be for me.

How I missed seeing Weedy I know not…the only words I saw were Bendy and Wedgy, both of which I felt were unlikely, but the little kid in me chose Wedgy. 
Just realizing it could have been Needy too, which I probably would have gone with had I seen it, so I’d have had the same result with an 8.

I’m not sure if I played the last word as well as I might have. It could have been SKATE, STAKE, or STAVE, and maybe others. STAKE might have been the best compromise sleuth word at that point.

@Robot_Arm LLAMA is a tricky one…we’ve had it before, but I think it’s been a long while. It came quickly to me though with the L and A in green and M in yellow - I like the cute critters, so it’s not far from my mind.

No chance for a 6 with this one…I had about 7 choices for the last word. I felt guessing one of them (Dodgy) was better than a sleuth, or so it seemed…I still was left with 3 words, but I got lucky with Foggy.
