Same here, although it didn’t seem to be much of a connection. Some of the categories, like that one, are things I wouldn’t think of in a million years. I just leave them for last as we tend to do with the trap words here.

60 would be awfully nice! Not sure how cold it is where you live, but I assume it’s a lot colder than here in Seattle, though we got down to the mid teens recently for a few days, which is way too cold for me. Finally got a 7! 
(it’s like the new 6 - lol). I was seeing about 6 words for the #1 word, and I actually almost went with Bawdy (due to their love-fest with the W’s these days), but I changed my mind and went with Baggy. Turned out to not be a bad choice, and then I got lucky between Cocoa and Comma. 
Me too. But I try to write out all of the groups I’m seeing in Notepad, and if I am fairly certain of the groups, I’ll try for a “reverse rainbow” with hardest to easiest (purple - blue - green - yellow). Lately though, I’ve been faced with two groups I can’t figure out (yesterday took a long time between blue and purple!), and it does my head in…I’ll get there eventually though, but I have gotten fails before (mostly when I first started playing, but they still happen now and again).

Small world! Been a Seattle native all my life…I’m currently north of downtown. Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Lakewood, before it incorporated. Near Steilacoom, if you know where that is.
Lived on the north face of Queen Anne Hill for a while; near Canlis, although I’ve never eaten there.

I always forget about starting with a vowel…didn’t see Elate, though Plate gave me the P for Spout, except I think that was all that one could be anyways. I’ll take the 7 though! 
Yep, I know where that is, though I haven’t spent any time down in that area. I also lived on QA too, and I have eaten at Canlis, but just a couple of times - best melt-in-your-mouth Filet Mignon I’ve ever had!

I had a hard time with yesterday’s too. I’m not nearly as organized as you are. I mostly just scan it for a bit looking for connections without choosing anything. They’re so tricky with all the crossover words and groups. When I see something that seems right I just go for it. The hardest to easiest doesn’t really seem to apply much to me. Like today I picked out purple first, yellow last

This one could have been worse…got a little bit of luck. Layer was pretty lucky…I was seeing about 4-5 words. Going with Tenth was good (saw Teeth and two other words). And I got a 50/50 right between Scoop and Smock (yay!). But I didn’t see Relax…was choosing between Feral and Regal - wouldn’t have mattered which of the two I went with though…Relax was all that was left I think.
