The full title is **“Quote” test**. I’m gonna use Preview and see if I can restore the word **“Quote”** by simply re-writing it in the Subject line after I preview.

Normally, if you use Preview, any “quoted” word or words in the thread title will disappear, never to be seen again.

It worked! Okay, dopers, listen up: If you use “” in your thread title and use preview, any and all words within the “” will disappear. To combat this, all you have to do is re-enter the quoted word or words. If you do not use preview, you have nothing to worry about (except your mistakes).

That and many other methods of circumventing this bug are given [here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=30833).

Yeah, I like this option from that other thread:

> [@](#):

> Use preview as normal, but then hit “back” and go back to the original submission page, before submitting. The software then doesn’t know or care that you previewed.

However, on days when the board is slow, it may take a while to go back from the Preview page.
