# Quotes suddenly not working? Thread specific

First I tried to do multi-quotes, but the first time I clicked on the “double-quote” button it went directly to the screen where you add your own text after the quote, and it was not the post I attempted to quote. After that, no matter what post I tried to quote it was that same post that came up, one that I had never tried to quote. It happened in [this](https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=848662) thread. I tried some other threads in GD and quoting seemed to be ok, so I am apparently only having a problem with this thread. I tried re-loading the page and closing SDMB and re-opening it, but I am getting the same effect.

The last time someone quoted another poster in that thread was this morning at 9:38 PST. I hadn’t tried before just now in this thread. The post I keep getting is XT’s post #4, even though I have never attempted to quote it. Even when I just click on the Post Reply button, my window is pre-filled with that post quoted.
