How can I quote part of someone’s post, instead of the entire thing?

I usually just quote the whole post, and then delete the parts that aren’t relevant. Like that.

Left click on your mouse. Holding it down, run the arrow over what you want to quote. This should highlight that part. Then right click on your mouse. Then click on “Copy.” Go to exactly where you want to post that part of the quotation. Then left click. Then right click and click on “Paste.” That should do it.

Do you know how to set off what you are quoting from what you want to say about the quote?

I am at a library terminal and it will not highlight it for me. But I will do the delete thing. Let me try now…

Okay, this should work.
And thank you.
